The TaxAct Texas Bowl in association with the Gridiron Legends will crown the best player in Texas as the Lone Star Player of the Year. Each week in the regular season, fans will have the opportunity to vote for a Player of the Week, from three Stars of the Week nominated for outstanding performance. Check back each Monday to see who makes the list and vote for your favorite!

WEEK 2

Players of the Week:

JT Daniels (QB, Rice): 28-of-42 for 401 yards with three touchdown passes and one int. (W, vs. Houston 43-41 2OT)

Quinn Ewers (QB, Texas): 24-of-38 for 349 yards with three touchdown passes (W, @Alabama, 34-24)

Chandler Morris (QB, TCU): 26-of-30 for 263 yards with two touchdown passes (W vs. Nicholls, 41-6)

WEEK 1

Players of the Week:

TJ Finley (QB, Texas State): 22-of-30 for 298 yards and three touchdown passes along with one rushing touchdown (W, @Baylor 42-31)

Malik Fleming (DB, Houston): Two interceptions and one 48-yard punt return with three tackles (W, vs. UTSA 17-14)

Conner Weigamn (QB, Texas A&M) 18-of-23 for 236 yards and five touchdown passes (W, vs. New Mexico 52-10)
